San Luis Obispo County Jazzercise

FAQ's

Can I try a class first?

Your 1st class is $10 and will be applied to your Joining Fees and pass when you register the same day...our class managers are happy to help you register after class!

What is EFT & How does it work?

EFT (Easy Fitness Ticket!) is the most economical and convenient way to pay for your classes. Complete a simplef form and designate an account (checking or credit card) to pay for your Jazzercise classes.

Advantages:
Convenient automatic payment, on the first business day of the month. We accept all major credit cards or your checking account for payment methods. At $35/month, the Unlimited use EFT pass is your best buy - saving you $165 a year over our 8 week pass!

Is it safe?
Your privacy is very important to us! Only the franchise owner (Melanie Mulder) and the EFT staff at Jazzercise, Inc. will have access to the inforamation. We do not share information with third parties.

Is this a long term contract?
No! Cancellations or changes can be made in writing by the 15th of the month, and will be effective the next month. We do not accept phone, voicemail, or verbal changes or cancellations.

Email info@slocountyjazz.com if you prefer - please make sure you have received a confirmation of your cancellation or change. We are not responsible for misaddressed or misdirected email. Your confirmation is your verification that we received your request.

What if I need to hold my EFT?
EFT payments may be put on hold for medical purposes only. One month medical hold requests should be in writing to Melanie Mulder (franchise owner) no later than the 15th of the month before the hold is to begin.

We do not offer holds for vacations or other reasons...your low EFT monthly rate gives you the equivalent of over a four month annual discount compared to our 8 week pass.

Still have questions? Just ask your fellow dancers...it's easy, safe, and convenient!

How early should I arrive?

If you haven't ever been to our facility or it's been over a year since you last attended, please arrive at least 10-15 minutes before class. You will need to complete a registration information card before you are able to dance! Early arrival will insure you are ready to warm up with us when the music starts! You can print a copy of the registration card and complete it before arriving in class by using our "Speedy Registration" link.

How much does a class cost?

How often should I exercise?

If you are new to exercise, begin with 2-3 classes a week and gradually add classes. To increase your fitness level, work out 4-5 times per week.

What are the instructors' credentials?

Jazzercise instructors participate in an intensive screening process as well as training and certification program, and are CPR certified. Instructors also continue their education in all aspects of dance and physiology to keep abreast of the latest developments in fitness.

May I bring drinks or food to a class?

We recommend Jazzercisers bring a non-breakable water bottle with a lid to class. Prevent accidents and spillage by keeping drinks out of the way of other Jazzercisers. No food or gum, please.

Do I need weights?

Weights are optional for new customers. We recommend you familiarize yourself with the basic exercises and techniques before using light (3-5lb.) weights.

Do I need special clothes or equipment?

Any loose, comfortable clothes are fine. Most people wear bike shorts or jazz pants and a bra top or T-shirt. Bring along a towel or exercise mat for the floor work. Good, rubber-soled aerobic shoes are recommended.
